Dave Strong, President - Parent Member, Email:

Dave Strong resides in Fairport with his wife, Anna, and his daughters, Vivienne and Elizabeth. Dave is a culinary tinkerer, amateur percussionist, and passionate renewable energy advocate. As President of the Board, Dave is excited to support the work of the Trustees to help build upon the legacy of Webster Montessori School.

Dave is the Director of Commercial Transactions at GreenSpark Solar based in Ontario, NY. As an owner and member of their Board of Directors, Dave has helped grow the company from seven employees to 50+, leading the region in renewable energy including solar, wind, and battery storage systems for residential, commercial, and utility customers.

Dave has an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology's Saunders School, a B.S. in Integrated Science & Technology from James Madison University, and is a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP).

Rob Way, 1st Vice-President - Parent Member

Rob Way is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in July 2017. He lives in Webster with his wife, Jen, and their children, Henry and Eleanor. Henry is in his second year in Ms. Maltese's primary class.

Rob is the Director of Global HR Operations for IBM. In this role, Rob has responsibility for financial strategy, planning and operations for IBM's global HR organization across 172 countries. Rob has more than 15 years of Human Resources experience in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility and HR delivery. He has also held HR generalist positions supporting various business segments. He holds a B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon School.

Rob and his family like to travel, especially to Austin, Texas where they lived for several years. In Rochester, you can find them at the Strong Museum of Play, the zoo or at one of Rochester's many food truck rodeos. Rob is thrilled to be on the board and humbled by the school's 50 year history in the community. He is passionate about helping WMS grow, while supporting the nurturing environment and independent thinking that are hallmarks of a Montessori education.

Rob serves as Finance Committee Chair and as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee.


Carrie Krasucki, 2nd Vice-President - Parent Member

Carrie is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in July 2017.  She was introduced to the Montessori approach by family members who were Montessori educators that recommended several books on the method.  Her son, Benjamin, is currently in his second year of the primary program. Her daughter, Maggie, is in the toddler program. 

Carrie is a stay at home mom living in Webster. She received her MS degree in Human Resources Development from RIT. For the last 15 years she managed the human resources departments at two advertising agencies in Rochester. She managed employee relations, manager training, employee development, recruiting, and benefits. She hopes these experiences can benefit the Webster Montessori School.

 Carrie and her family enjoy boating and hiking during the summer months and skiing in the winter. She appreciates the school’s commitment to the Montessori method and is looking forward to giving back to the WMS community.


Sara Webeck, Secretary - Parent Member

Sara Webeck was elected as a parent member to the board in June 2018.  Sara lives in Penfield with her husband, Carl, and their two children.  Both children are currently enrolled in Lisa VanVechten’s primary classroom.  

Sara earned a BA in Political Science from Westminster College and a MS in International Studies from St. John Fisher College as well as a PMP certification in project management, PMI-ACP certification in agile project management and is an agile certified scrum master.  She currently works as a portfolio manager for an international human resource services company based in Rochester.  Additionally, Sara has had extensive experience serving in non-profit boards in the past and is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to WMS in efforts to support the continued growth and development of WMS.  

The whole family takes part in supporting the WMS community through attending, volunteering and supporting the various school activities and events and finding ways to incorporate the Montessori methods in their day-to-day activities.  Outside of school activities you will find the family traveling, visiting museums, cooking, spending time outdoors, reading and making music together.


Jaclyn Muisus, Parliamentarian/Fundraising - Parent Member

Jaclyn Muisus is a parent board member elected in June 2015. She resides in Webster with her husband, Matt, and their two children. Their daughter is in the Primary program and their son is in the Toddler program

Jaclyn has worked with Dr. Scott Stein, an Orthodontist is Pittsford since 2002. Along with patient treatment and education, she is responsible for marketing and event planning for the practice. She has studied Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting at MCC.

She has been a part of the committee for the Annual Gala at WMS since 2014.  Jaclyn looks forward to bringing new ideas and growth to WMS. She is very excited about her new role as a board member.

As a parent of WMS, she enjoys being part of the school, helping when needed, and loves watching her children develop and learn in the unique and independent teaching method of Montessori.

Jaclyn is a member of the Fundraising Committee and is Co-Chair of the Auction Committee.


Matt Bennage - Parent Member

Matt is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in August 2019. Matt lives in Fairport with his wife, Lindsy, and their two daughters, Olivia and Emilia. Olivia is in her second year with Mrs. Van Vechten’s primary class.

Matt is a financial advisor with Weller Group LLC located in Ontario, NY. Most of his day-to-day activities involve working with individuals helping them make smart financial decisions for the long term. These decisions include topics such as evaluating debts, expenses, income and assets as well as investment recommendations. Matt has twelve years of industry experience and holds a Retirement Income Certified Professional, RICP® designation. Matt graduated from St. John Fisher College with a B.S. in business administration.


Rob Blair - Parent Member

Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, majoring in Neuroscience and Sociology. He moved to the Rochester area in 2003 and currently resides in Penfield with his wife, Lauren, and three boys, Colin, Ian, and Ronan.

Rob works at NeuroPace, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based medical technology company, founded to design, develop, manufacture and market implantable devices for the treatment of neurological disorders. As a Senior Clinical Research Associate he monitors and coordinates the implementation of clinical trials, assuring the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of participants and ensuring integrity of the data collected.

Rob enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors with his family. His interest in neuroscience and the brain led him to the Montessori Method, in which children gather information about the world through the physical senses of the body.  “It’s a hands on approach to human (and brain) development that prepares you for life. I am grateful that we are part of the WMS community and I am excited to support the programs and relationships that enrich our school.”


John Collins - Parent Member

John Collins is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees elected in June 2018.  He lives in Webster with wife Kristen, and their two daughters  - Cecilia who is enrolled in Ms. Maltese’s primary classroom and Genevieve (Evie) who just moved into Ms. VanVechten’s primary classroom from Ms. Poutre’s toddler room.

John has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University.  He is a licensed structural engineer in four states with his own company Bison Engineering & Enterprises, PLLC which provides structural engineering services on small commercial and residential projects.  The flexibility allows him to spend time with his girls in the mornings, which he loves, and to drop them off at the school.

Although a private school graduate himself, John was unfamiliar with the Montessori approach.  But has come to advocate for it.  He especially appreciates and enjoys the close knit, family atmosphere here at Webster Montessori.  The Collins’ enjoy play time with friends and family, and summer weekends at “Grandma’s Lake” (Seneca).


Michelle Nacca - Parent Member

Michelle is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico.  After meeting her husband, Joe, and graduating from the Economics program at the University of New Mexico, they moved to Rochester.

For over 14 years, Michelle has owned The Greater Rochester Brides & Grooms, a marketing business in the local wedding industry. Working directly with the brides, grooms, their families, and businesses in the wedding world brings her great joy! Publishing and printing a bi-annual bridal publication, keeping up with changes in social media and world of the technology, maintains a level of excitement for Michelle.

Michelle and Joe live in Fairport and have two children, Giada and Nadia. Giada will be a 5th year in Mrs. Sciolino's elementary classroom. This will be her 6th year at WMS.  Nadia will be attending her third year at WMS and will be a second year in Ms. Franchot’s elementary classroom.

Playing in the snow, reading, and trail running are just a few of Michelle’s favorite things.  As well, she sincerely enjoys meeting up with friends and spending quality time with her family.


Lori Neva - Parent Member

Lori is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in August 2019. She lives in Webster with her daughter, Briella, who started WMS in the toddler program in 2014. After hearing great things and reading more about the Montessori Methods, Lori decided she wanted Brie to experience this education and choose WMS.

Working for large corporations and small businesses Lori has experience in customer service, management, training, advertising and accounting. Currently she runs her own companies: Liquid Cooling operates, an international website for PC modification supplies and Liquid Assets Bookkeeping which provides bookkeeping services for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Lori organizes the annual Community Sale and the Holiday Vendor Event, helps out in the school library, and serves on the gala committee. She loves to help when needed and enjoys being a part of the small community at WMS. In her role on the board, she is excited to share her experiences and ideas to support the continued development and growth at WMS.

She and her daughter love to travel, especially to Texas and Florida to see family and friends. Local favorites include the Seneca Park Zoo, Seabreeze, and the many festivals and events around the area.


Melissa Ruffo - Parent Member

Melissa is a Rochester native, growing up in Pittsford, NY. Melissa, and her now husband Phil, moved to Colorado for college where she completed her Bachelors of Science, studying Sociology and Pre-Law at Colorado State University. Melissa and Phil moved back to Rochester for Phil to complete his educational pursuit and now reside in Webster, NY with their 3 children - Soleil (Mrs Vargas), Paxton (Mrs VanVechten), and Lucille (soon-to-be Montessori).

Melissa spent 10 years working at Paychex Inc, completed her LAH license, gained experience in customer relations, sales and marketing, networking, and management. She finished her Paychex career as a District Sales Manager in order to stay home with her children. Melissa was introduced to Montessori education through a co-worker, and after much research, is now a big proponent of this methodology of teaching. She hopes to combine her passion for the Montessori educational style and her work-life experiences to help benefit WMS.

In her free time, Melissa loves any and all outdoor activities and sports. She is open to trying anything new, and loves to laugh. Throughout the summer she is often found at the family lake house on Keuka Lake or traveling to North Carolina to visit family. Melissa and her husband love to travel and experience other cultures, typically taking an annual trip to other countries. Melissa looks forward to giving back to the WMS community and meeting everyone at our community activities.


Heidi LaDuca - Legal Counsel

Heidi LaDuca serves as legal counsel to Board of Trustees. Heidi and her husband, Anthony, have four children. Both Heidi and her husband are practicing attorneys having obtained their Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1994. Heidi is also the owner and manager of Characters Corner Vacation home and a fitness instructor at the Bayview YMCA. In addition, Heidi serves as volunteer legal counsel to the United Church of Christ in Webster.
