Meet our Board of Trustees
Jill Conchelos, President - Parent Member
Jill is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in June 2014. She resides in Webster with her husband Chris, and their son Chance who is in Ms. Franchot's Elementary class. Jill has a BS in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology as well as her PMP certification in Project Management. She currently works as a Senior Engagement Manager for Sum Total Systems.
WMS was the clear choice when searching for a preschool in 2013 because of the welcoming sense of community and the Montessori method. Jill joined the Board in order to be able to give back to the school and further that sense of community among families at the school. She enjoys being an active member of the Webster Montessori community and looks forward to supporting the growth of our school.
As President, Jill would be delighted to welcome additional parent members who would like to be more involved as Board or Committee members.
Judy Raspante, VP - Parent Member
Judy Raspante resides in Penfield with her three children. Judy’s youngest child is a third year student in Ms. McCoon’s elementary classroom and her older two children graduated from the WMS Elementary Program. Judy has been part of the Webster Montessori community since 2002.
Judy is a Sr. Strategic Manager for Waste Management’s Corporate office where she has 20 years experience working with community members, local facility personnel, and C-Suite Executives of Top 200 companies to develop, budget, and implement sustainability initiatives and strategies.
Judy enjoys being actively involved in her children’s education and their extracurricular activities. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, crafting, reading, and exploring new business opportunities.
As a long time parent at WMS, Judy loves the independent learning and leadership skills her children have developed from their WMS education. Judy also enjoys the sense of community that WMS offers.
Judy currently serves as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee.
Benjamin Tucker, Secretary - Parent Member
Ben Tucker joined the board in July 2012. He and his wife, Lisa have two children: Ben V, who is a 5th year Elementary student with Ms. McCoon and Evie who is in her 3rd year of elementary with Ms. Franchot. Ben works as an Assistant Vice President of Sales with First American Equipment Finance's Technology Division. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Vermont.
The Tuckers have been top fundraisers for the March of Dimes since their son was born twelve weeks premature in 2005. In 2012, they were the Ambassador Family for the local chapter. He has sat on the March of Dimes' local Family Team Committee, Revenue Committee as well as the Statewide Advocacy Group.
The family enjoys weekends in Old Forge and making trips to visit family in Maine and Idaho.
Ben currently serves as Chair of the Fundraising Committee.
Jaclyn Muisus, Parliamentarian - Parent Member
Jaclyn Muisus is a parent board member elected in June 2015. She resides in Webster with her husband, Matt, and their two children. Their daughter is in the Primary program and their son is in the Toddler program
Jaclyn has worked with Dr. Scott Stein, an Orthodontist is Pittsford since 2002. Along with patient treatment and education, she is responsible for marketing and event planning for the practice. She has studied Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting at MCC.
She has been a part of the committee for the Annual Gala at WMS since 2014. Jaclyn looks forward to bringing new ideas and growth to WMS. She is very excited about her new role as a board member.
As a parent of WMS, she enjoys being part of the school, helping when needed, and loves watching her children develop and learn in the unique and independent teaching method of Montessori.
Jaclyn is a member of the Fundraising Committee and is Co-Chair of the Auction Committee.
Kori Capitummino - Parent Member
Kori Capitummino was elected Parent Member of the Board of Trustees in June 2016. She lives in Penfield with her husband, Brian, and their two children - Lola who is currently enrolled in Mrs. VanVechten's primary classroom, and Roman who will begin his Montessori education in Fall 2016 in Mrs. Drexler's class.
Kori and her family recently moved to Rochester after living and working in Brooklyn for many years. They are happy to be part of such a friendly community and to have more than one bedroom and have some storage space! She has a degree in Economics from SUNY Geneseo and was formerly a Compliance Officer with a financial services firm before staying home to raise her children.
In her spare time, Kori enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, indoor cycling and trying out new restaurants. However, you can most likely find her at a playground or grocery store.
As a parent at WMS, Kori has tried to be involved in the events and activities at the school to get to know the other families and enjoyed working on the Gala auction committee this past year. She is hoping her role on the board will allow her to be more involved and help give back to the school she and her husband are very proud to say their children attend.
Carrie Krasucki - Parent Member
Carrie Krasucki is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in July 2017. She was introduced to the Montessori approach by family members who were Montessori educators that recommended several books on the method. Her son finished the Toddler program this spring and will be starting the Primary program in the fall. Carrie’s daughter will be starting the Toddler program in the fall of 2018.
Carrie is a stay-at-home mom living in Webster. She received her MS degree in Human Resources Development from RIT. For the last 15 years she managed the human resources departments at two advertising agencies in Rochester. She managed employee relations, manager training, employee development, recruiting, and benefits. She hopes these experiences can benefit the Webster Montessori School.
Carrie and her family enjoy boating and hiking during the summer months and skiing in the winter. She appreciates the school’s commitment to the Montessori method and is looking forward to giving back to the WMS community.
Whitney McAlpin - Parent Member
Whitney McAlpin was elected as a parent member to the Board of Trustees in October 2015. She resides in Webster with her husband and their two children. Their daughter is in her second primary year and their son is in his first year of the toddler program.
Whitney is an Environmental Analyst performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for LaBella Associates. She received a bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences from SUNY Fredonia with a minor in Biology.
Whitney enjoys staying busy with her kids especially outdoors. Her family's favorite places to visit are the zoo, the playground, the beach and local museums. Whitney also loves music, traveling, playing cards and watching movies.
As a parent at WMS, Whitney tries to stay very active with school functions and events. Whitney is the room mom in Mrs. VanVechten's classroom. Whitney hopes to help develop and bring growth to the school. She works hard to instill the Montessori culture into her family's lifestyle and would like to increase community knowledge of this education program.
Whitney is the chair of the Social Committee, as well as a member of the Fundraising and Marketing Committees.
Jen Miller - Parent Member
Jen Miller was elected Parent Member of the Board of Trustees in June 2015. She resides in Penfield with her husband, Drew, and their two children, Luke and Paul, both of whom are enrolled and flourishing at Webster Montessori.
Jen is a clinical psychologist with a B.A. from the University of Virginia and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Georgia. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship specializing in traumatic stress at the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to opting to stay home during her sons’ early years, she worked to promote recovery for combat veterans at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center and taught undergraduate courses at Augusta State University.
Jen and her family spend a lot of time getting messy doing art projects, conducting science experiments, and exploring the outdoors. She has been active in the local chapter of MOMS (moms offering moms support) Club for a number of years and currently serves as President of the group.
Jen serves on the Marketing Committee.
Saralin Mangialino-Rivera - Community Member
Saralin has been a Special Education Teacher since 1998. She and her husband, Stuart, live in Webster with their two children. This will be their fifth year attending school at WMS. They have had experiences in the toddler, primary and elementary classrooms at our school. Her boys enjoy attending school here very much and the family feels that the education which occurs in their classrooms is second to none.
Saralin received her Bachelor's degree in Special Education from SUNY Geneseo in 1997 and her Master's degree in Education from Cal State Fullerton in 2001. Saralin taught in Southern California for 15 years, and now works at Twelve Corners Middle School in Brighton.
Saralin enjoys art, music, science, reading and anything that has to do with languages other than English - such as foreign films. Her family also very much enjoys being outdoors and/or playing games together.
Saralin serves on the Finance Committee.
Michelle Nacca - Parent Member
Michelle is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. After meeting her husband, Joe, and graduating from the Economics program at the University of New Mexico, they moved to Rochester.
For over 12 years, Michelle has owned The Greater Rochester Brides & Grooms, a marketing business in the local wedding industry. Working directly with the brides, grooms, their families, and businesses in the wedding world brings her great joy! Publishing and printing a bi-annual bridal publication, keeping up with changes in social media and world of the technology, maintains a level of excitement for Michelle.
Michelle and Joe live in Fairport and have two children, Giada and Nadia. Giada will be a 4th year in Ms. McCoon’s elementary classroom. This will be her 5th year at WMS. Nadia will be attending her second year at WMS and will be a first year in Ms. Franchot’s elementary classroom.
Playing in the snow, reading, and trail running are just a few of Michelle’s favorite things. As well, she sincerely enjoys meeting up with friends and spending quality time with her family.
Amy Spitzer - Parent Member
Amy Spitzer lives in Webster with her husband and two children. Amy is a parent member of the board and was elected in June 2015. Amy's two daughters attend Webster Montessori School. Amy's younger daughter is a second year primary student in Mrs. Van Vechten's class and her older daughter is a third year primary student in Ms. Vargas' class.
Amy has a BA in Mathematics and a Secondary education certification from SUNY Geneseo as well as a MSEd in Mathematics Education from SUNY Geneseo. Amy was a high school mathematics teacher for 12 years before making the decision to leave teaching to stay home and care for her daughters.
Montessori Education was an obvious choice for someone who has strived to make education a very individual experience for her own students. Amy sees her children as long term Montessori learners and wants to be very involved in the future success of Webster Montessori School.
Amy has volunteered in many classrooms as well as participated in fundraising and event planning such as the annual auction, and she is very eager to assist in the progress of the school.
Amy is a member of the Long Range Planning Committee.
Dave Strong - Parent Member
Dave Strong resides in Fairport with his wife, Anna, and his daughter, Vivienne, who is in Mrs. Vargas' Primary class at WMS. Dave is a culinary tinkerer, amateur percussionist, and passionate renewable energy advocate.
Dave is the Director of Wind Energy and Senior Project Manager at Sustainable Energy Developments, Inc. based in Ontario, NY. As a part owner and member of SED's Board of Directors, Dave has helped grow the company from seven employees to 40+, leading the region in solar and wind power installations for homes and businesses.
As chair of the Long Range Planning Committee, Dave will help develop the strategy that allows WMS to embrace opportunities and face challenges while upholding the fundamentals of the Montessori philosophy.
Dave has a B.S. in Integrated Science & Technology from James Madison University and is a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP).
Rob Way - Parent Member
Rob Way is a Parent Member of the Board of Trustees, elected in July 2017. He lives in Webster with his wife, Jen, and their son, Henry, who is in Mrs. Drexler's class.
Rob leads Global Operations for Talent Acquisition at IBM. He manages a team of specialists focused on core areas of recruitment process development and re-engineering, reporting and analytics, vendor relationship management, and global budget forecasting/management. Rob has more than 10 years of HR experience in recruiting, global mobility, HR process auditing, and as an HR generalist. He has a B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon School.
Rob and his family like to travel, especially to Austin, Texas where they lived for several years. In Rochester, you can find them at the Strong Museum of Play, the zoo, or at one of Rochester's many food truck rodeos! Rob is thrilled to be on the board and humbled by the school's 50 year history in the community. He looks forward to helping WMS grow, while supporting the nurturing environment and independent thinking that are hallmarks of a Montessori education.
Heidi LaDuca - Legal Counsel
Heidi LaDuca serves as legal counsel to Board of Trustees. Heidi and her husband Anthony have four children with their youngest being a student in Mrs. Van Vechten's primary classroom. Heidi and her husband, Anthony are both practicing attorneys having obtained their Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1994. Heidi is also the owner and manager of Characters Corner Vacation home and a fitness instructor at the Bayview YMCA. Heidi also serves as volunteer legal counsel to the United Church of Christ in Webster.
