Our Programs
Webster Montessori School fosters a love of learning at all age levels, Toddler through Grade Six. We focus on the whole child, nurturing not just academic skills but also independence, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility.
What Montessori Education Means to Us
Lifelong Learning
WMS nurtures lifelong learning through curiosity and independence, with Montessori principles fostering practical life skills, respect, communication, and personal responsibility. We create an environment where students explore their interests, engage in hands-on experiences, and pursue their passions independently
Holistic Development
WMS supports the whole child, fostering intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. We create an environment where students can explore their interests, strengthen critical thinking skills, and cultivate emotional intelligence. Understanding that every aspect of a child's development is deeply interconnected, we provide the opportunities needed for them to thrive.
Independence, Initiative, and Self-Awareness
WMS empowers students to explore personal interests, set goals, and solve problems independently. Through self-directed projects and personal exploration, our students develop self-awareness, creativity, and confidence, enabling them to trust their judgment and advocate for themselves.
Respect for the Child
Students are valued members of our community where their voices are heard. Their unique abilities are honored, and they have the freedom to express themselves. At WMS, students feel safe, understood, and empowered.
Leading with Integrity
WMS encourages students to make conscious choices, take responsibility for their actions, and demonstrate honesty, kindness, and respect. Our community models leadership through consistent, ethical behavior.
Community and Inclusion
WMS fosters a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected. We embrace diversity and celebrate different perspectives, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds.
Our Programs
WMS offers three programs designed to support the unique developmental stages of children from toddlers through sixth grade, fostering independence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Through engaging materials and nurturing routines, toddlers 18 months to 3 years grow in confidence, learn to care for themselves, and build positive relationships.
By working with real materials, children ages 3 to 6 strengthen their thinking skills while building positive habits and social awareness.
Emphasizing whole-child growth, intellectual independence, collaboration, and community engagement for grades 1 to 6.
The Foundation of a Montessori Education
A Montessori education provides a solid foundation for every child. It is rooted in a deep understanding of child development. Through independence, community, self-awareness, and challenging academics, the Montessori model guides students to be confident, compassionate and active, engaged learners. Montessori believes that it is the responsibility of the teacher to follow the child. This means that every child receives individualized education, leaning on their strengths and working through their challenges, to ensure successful learning.
In a Montessori school, school staff understands each student and partners with families to support the child’s educational journey. Our students not only have the required skills and knowledge. They have a deep feeling that they are seen and heard and that they belong at their school.
Wrap-Around Care at WMS
