Open House
Our next Open House will be held July 17th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. We welcome parents to meet with teachers, staff and current parents.
Visit our Montessori classrooms: for toddlers 18 months to 3 years, Primary classrooms for children 3 through 6 years, and Elementary for children 6 through age 12.

Summer Camp at the Webster Montessori School:
At Webster Montessori School we offer a unique program wherein the natural inquisitiveness of childhood is utilized to foster a life-long passion for learning and growing. Our summer program will continue the Montessori tradition with the promise of a fun and fulfilling summer.
Combined with the Wrap-Around Program, the summer program is available to children between the ages of 3 and 12 and is open to the community.
The Program will run everyday, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wrap-Around care will be available between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. as well as 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Program will run from June 16th-August 16th (Closed Fourth of July week, June 30-July 4.)
Each session is broken into 8 themes 1-2 weeks in length. Incorporated into every week there will be:
1. Ice Cream Sundaes and Water Days
2. Sports and PE with State certified Instructors
3. Daily Guided Reading
4. Structured Crafts and Activities
5. Sing-alongs and Special Guests!
The weeks are themed as follows: 1. June 16-20 Gardening Week
2. June 23-27 Animals Week
3. July 7-11 Dance/ Music Week
4. July 14-25 (2 weeks) Science Week
5. July 28-August 1 Colonial Week
6. August 4-8 Art Week
7. August 11-15 Olympic Sports Wellness Week
8. August 18-22 Fun Week
- Gardening Week: Gardening week is a special week devoted to cultivating an understanding of growing things! We will focus on environmental awareness in collaboration with hands on experience, garden related crafts and instruction. We will be planting our own pizza garden, learning about the healing properties of household herbs and what it takes for the flowers to grow. We will also take a field trip to Bauman’s farm to pick our strawberries.
- Animals week: Lions and Tigers and Bears oh my! This week we will explore the wonderful world of animals. Local Fauna as well as animals from various habitats will be explored in crafts and games. Story time and sing along guests and a day trip to the zoo will be just the trick to satisfy curious minds.
- Dance and Music Week: From jazz to classical, guests from the Eastman School of Music will perform for us and show us how they make music. We will make our own drums and flutes and learn the dances and music of various cultures with *special guests from the Rochester community. * contact the office for a list of special guests.
- Science Weeks: Your child will enjoy a plethora of science experiments during this unique two week program. We will explore basic scientific concepts from building our own gumdrop atom, to making slime and explaining static electricity. The hands on emphasis of the program will make science come alive in the Montessori Tradition.
- Colonial Week: Mumford Village’s Moveable Museum will be visiting us this week! We will learn what daily life was like for children in colonial times, the games they played and the crafts they enjoyed.
- Art Week: This week we will paint like John Pollock, make our own supplies, create cardboard sculptures and explore traditional as well as contemporary arts and crafts. Local Artist Alan Topolski will show us how to make our own unique creations with found objects. We will explore and write our own poetry and put on our own play! This week will be an exploration of expression for the creative thinker in all, with emphasis on visual and performing arts,
- Olympic Sports and Wellness Week: Each day of the week your child will enjoy cooperative team sports and competitions. We will spend some time learning how to take care of our bodies and the importance of cooperative play and sportsmanship. At the end of the week we will put on our very own Olympics and celebrate with an awards ceremony where everyone is a winner!
- Fun Week: Get your silly hats ready! Each day of this week will be themed for ultimate fun! Be prepared for the Bounce House, bike races, team-building activities and much more. Learn how to make bubbles at home, create masks, tie dye shirts, make friendship bracelets, and crafts from seashells and noodles. We will visit Shari Irwin’s farm and Deputy Dan Lion will pay us a visit to tell us about bike safety. We will even sing along with our very own karaoke machine.
About The Webster Montessori School:
The Webster Montessori School is a not-for-profit institution founded in 1967. The teachers and the school are Recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). The school is Accredited by the New York State Board of Regents. Montessori instruction is offered five days a week for children 18 months through age 12, with transportation available on home school district buses for those who qualify. Our on-site wrap-around program provides service for children three years of age and older.
