“WMS means so many things to me.  It means being independent, being your own person and being responsible.  Going to WMS at a young age and learning cursive instilled different characteristics into my personality than if I went to public school.  I started going to WMS when I was 3.  I stayed for 7 years.

During those 7 years I made tons of memories and friends.  When I left Montessori and went to a new school things were very different.  There were desks instead of tables.  Teachers in the front of the room rather than just in the room.  But most of all there were tests.  I had never taken a test before.  It was weird.

One day I was sitting at my desk and this kid asked me how to spell cookies so I wrote it down for him.  He then gave it back and said he couldn't read it.  I was a bit shocked.  Yeah, he probably couldn’t read it.  I am able to read print but to be honest my cursive is 10 times better than my print.  I’m truly grateful for that because it shocks people when I write in cursive which is all the time.

My brother and I still share memories about Montessori.  Most of what I learned is still with me today.  I think it still shows.”
